Rwanda, Gitega Hills
Gitega Hill’s is located in the Nyamagabe District of Rwanda and is located very close to Nyungwe Forest and the traced source of the Nile River. Bernard Uwitije, a native of the area, had been farming coffee in the only way he knew how, until 2015, when he started to learn about better farming techniques that would unleash a new potential from his produce.
Bernard began to invest himself in this newly learned best practice which quickly resulted in a far superior crop, rich in higher quality beans bursting with deeper and brighter flavours.
Natural process coffees are renowned for their funky, fruity flavours, however for some coffee drinkers these can seem a little over-empowering. Having carefully considered our roasting profile, we opted for a gentle and light roast that allows this bright and fruity beauty to communicate in a language that just about anyone could understand! This little number is a juicy beauty. Prepare for a bright and refreshing delight!
